Mariyam, Iqbal, and Siti Sa’idah Win 3 National Awards at LETIN 7

Yogyakarta, February 14–15, 2026 — A team of students from the Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), once again achieved impressive achievements at the national level. The team, led by Mariyam, Iqbal Prayoga Anggara, and Siti Sa’idah, won three awards in the 7th National Essay Competition (LETIN 7).

The LETIN 7 competition was organized by Nusantara Muda in Yogyakarta from February 14–15, 2026, and was attended by 806 participants from various universities across Indonesia.

In the competition, the team submitted two essays on different sub-themes: “PAMAN: The Use of Smart Tourism Applications and Digital Tourism Guides in the Martapura River Cruise” on Tourism and Culture, and “Chicken Feather and Corn Cob Waste as Alternative Fish Feed Ingredients to Ensure National Food Security” on Food.

Thanks to the innovation and ideas offered in these two works, the team won three awards:

• Favorite Poster (Tourism and Culture Sub-theme)
• Silver Medal (Tourism and Culture Sub-theme)
• Bronze Medal (Food Sub-theme)

LETIN 7 is a national-level essay competition with the theme “Ideas of the Young Generation Towards a Competitive and Sustainable Indonesia.” This activity aims to encourage students to convey innovative ideas that can provide solutions to various development challenges in Indonesia through scientific papers.

With this achievement, Lambung Mangkurat University further confirms its role as an educational institution that encourages students to be highly competitive, broad-minded, and make a real contribution to the advancement of science and technology.
