Synergy between ULM and the South Kalimantan Provincial Government: Sustainable Collaboration for Education and Development
Banjarbaru – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), through its Vice Rector for Cooperation, Public Relations, and Information Systems, represented by the Acting Head of the Planning, Cooperation, and Public Relations Bureau, Muhammad Ilyas, ST., MT., along with the Coordinator of Cooperation and Public Relations, Andi Nursalam AS, S.Pt., attended a meeting to discuss the extension of the Joint Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the South Kalimantan Provincial Government. The meeting took place on Tuesday (February 10, 2026) in the Meeting Room of the Cooperation Section of the Government and Regional Autonomy Bureau, 4th Floor, South Kalimantan Provincial Secretariat, Banjarbaru.
This meeting was a follow-up to the extension of the previously established collaboration. The main agenda focused on harmonizing the draft joint agreement to strengthen synergy between education, research, community service, and regional development programs.
The event was attended by the South Kalimantan Provincial Regional Cooperation Coordination Team (TKKSD), relevant regional officials, and representatives from the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (ULM). During the discussion, each party presented program achievements, implementation challenges, and strategic steps needed to improve collaboration effectiveness. A comprehensive evaluation of program implementation indicators resulted in recommendations for continuous improvement.
At the conclusion of the meeting, ULM and the South Kalimantan Provincial Government affirmed their shared commitment to strengthening the quality of their collaboration through program innovation, enhanced coordination, and intensive collaboration. The extension of this collaboration is expected to further solidify ULM’s role as a strategic partner for the regional government in supporting the development of higher education and the development of South Kalimantan.
