ULM Inaugurates 60 New Pharmacists at 17th Professional Oath
Banjarbaru – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University (FMIPA ULM) once again produced professionals in the pharmaceutical field through the 17th Pharmacist Oath ceremony held on Tuesday (October 7, 2025) at the Rodhita Hotel, Banjarbaru.
The event was attended by the ULM Rector, Vice Dean II of FMIPA ULM, Head of the Integrated Laboratory UPA, Head of the Pharmacy Department, FMIPA ULM, and Chair of the Indonesian Pharmacy College, Prof. Dr. apt. Diah Ariani Perwitasari, M.Sc., Ph.D.. Also in attendance were the Chair of the Indonesian Pharmacists Council (MAI), Chandra Wijaya, Regional Executive of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI) for South Kalimantan, and representatives from the South Kalimantan Provincial Health Office, represented by Muhammad Rizal, Head of the Health Human Resources Section.
A total of 60 students were officially sworn in as new pharmacists on the occasion, led by the Head of the Pharmacy Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), apt. Ikhwan Rizky, S.Farm. Of these, 41 graduates received honors, 16 received very good grades, and 3 received satisfactory grades. The three best graduates were also announced at the event: apt. Salsabila Azzahra Rusda, S.Farm., as the first best graduate, followed by apt. Fahrurazi, S.Farm., as the second best graduate, and apt. Suci Kamelia, S.Farm., as the third best graduate.
The pharmacist oath-taking ceremony was led by the Head of the Pharmacy Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM). In his remarks, the ULM Rector expressed his appreciation and expressed his hope that the graduates would continue to develop themselves and contribute to the world of healthcare. He stated that the profession of pharmacist is a profession with potential for broad career opportunities.
“Pharmacist graduates have extraordinary opportunities for career advancement and community service,” said the Chancellor.
