Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), through the Academic Guidance and Counseling Implementation Unit (UPA BK), held a career planning training titled “Career Planning: Determining Direction, Achieving Hope,” as well as an introduction to guidance and counseling services at SIMARI for new students in 2025 on Wednesday (September 24, 2025) in Hall 4 of the Student Activity Center (SAC) in the ULM General Building.
The event was attended by Head of UPA BK Dr. Ririanti Rachmayanie J., S.Psi, M.Pd., career planning training instructors, and educators from various faculties.
In her remarks, Head of UPA BK Dr. Ririanti emphasized that this activity demonstrates UPA BK’s commitment to providing optimal services to students, particularly in helping them plan their futures and learn more about the various support services available on campus.
“Through this training, new students are expected to be able to identify their potential, understand the direction they want to take, and prepare steps to achieve their future goals,” she said.
Furthermore, Dr. Ririanti added that the guidance and counseling services at the UPA BK are not only intended for students, but are also open to lecturers and educational staff. This aligns with the UPA BK’s function as a unit provided for the entire ULM academic community.
“Our main goal is to assist the academic community in self-development activities, especially students who are at a crucial stage in determining the direction of their lives,” she added.
This activity is expected to strengthen the readiness of ULM’s new students in 2025 to face the academic world while also laying the foundation for solid career planning for the future.
