Banjar, September 21, 2025 – The Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK Ormawa) of the International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences (IAAS) LC Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) once again held a community empowerment activity in Mandiangin Timur Village. This time, the focus of the activity was Branding, Packaging Design, and Digital Marketing Training, aimed at strengthening the entrepreneurial potential of village residents.
Held at the Mandiangin Timur Village Hall, the training was attended by approximately 20 participants, consisting of village youth and small business owners. The attendance demonstrated a high level of enthusiasm for business development in the digital era.
The event featured Fajar Rizki Rahman, S.E., M.M., a digital marketing consultant, content creator, and Owner of PT. Jaya Berkah Kreatif, as the keynote speaker. In his presentation, Fajar shared insights on the importance of building brand identity, designing attractive product packaging, and effective digital marketing strategies for expanding market reach.
“In today’s digital era, even the best product will be difficult to recognize if it doesn’t have an identity and the right marketing strategy. Branding isn’t just about a logo, but the story behind our product. Digital marketing is a tool to spread that story worldwide,” said Fajar Rizki Rahman in one session.
Participants actively participated in the training. They asked questions about the challenges they face in daily business, from difficulties in product packaging, limited marketing access, to the need to expand their target consumer base. The discussion was interactive, with many participants taking notes on practical tips provided by the speakers.
In addition to providing theoretical insight, the training also encouraged participants to be more creative in developing local products to be competitive in the digital marketplace. With a better understanding of branding and online marketing, the residents of Mandiangin Timur Village are expected to optimize their entrepreneurial potential, increase product added value, and strengthen the village economy.
This activity is part of a series of programs from the PPK Ormawa IAAS LC ULM, which is committed to supporting the capacity development of village communities, particularly in facing the challenges of the digital era. With ongoing mentoring, it is hoped that Mandiangin Timur Village can become an example of a village that is adaptive, innovative, and economically independent.
