SNPMB Press Conference: New System and Rules for 2026 Officially Launched

The National Selection Committee for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) has launched the new student admissions system for 2026. Information on the 2026 National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) will be announced today, Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 4:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time) by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisintek), Prof. Brian Yuliarto, ST., M.Eng., Ph.D., along with the Chairperson of the SNPMB Team, Prof. Dr. Ir. Eduart Wolok, ST., MT.

The National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) is a national selection system managed by the Education Testing Management Center (BPPP) for new student admissions at state universities (PTN) throughout Indonesia.

This system consists of three main pathways: the Achievement-Based National Selection (SNBP), the Test-Based National Selection (SNBT), which uses a Computer-Based Written Exam (UTBK), and the Independent Pathway managed by each state university.

One of the main pathways is the SNBP, whose selection process is based on report card scores and students’ academic and non-academic achievements throughout their education.

The 2026 Achievement-Based National Selection System (SNBP) will undergo significant changes. The SNBP assessment will no longer rely solely on report card scores but will also incorporate a new component, the Academic Ability Test (TKA).
