Mobilization of Integrated Learning Activities (MKBT): ULM Strengthens Access to Learning Across Departments and Internationally
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the national policy of higher education. Through the Integrated Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) team, ULM held a Curriculum Readiness Socialization to Prepare Access to Learning Across Departments, Universities, and Internationally at the General Building of the ULM Student Activity Center (SAC) in Banjarmasin on Wednesday (September 10, 2025).
The event was attended by the Heads and Coordinators of Study Programs at ULM. Also in attendance was the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, who provided guidance and motivation to the academic community.
This socialization aimed to provide an understanding of the transformation of MBKM, which has now evolved into the Mobilization of Integrated Learning Activities (MKBT) as part of the national “Impact Campus” movement. ULM’s focus is on expanding access to learning, including student exchange programs with partner universities such as Padjadjaran University (UNPAD), Surabaya State University (UNESA), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), and Diponegoro University (UNDIP).
This policy change requires curriculum readiness so that ULM students can adapt to the dynamics of cross-departmental and international learning. Through the MKBT (Interdisciplinary Learning Center), ULM emphasizes its role in strengthening student competencies, opening opportunities for global collaboration, and expanding academic networks.
In his remarks, ULM’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Iwan Aflanie, dr., M.Kes., Sp.F., SH, emphasized the importance of being proactive in learning and taking on leadership roles.
“If I were a learner, I would definitely be the first to learn as much and as well as possible. Once you are competent, show it to the world, and collaboration will follow. After that, prepare yourself to carry out your responsibilities and don’t hesitate to accept responsibility. Finally, prepare your cadre to ensure that your achievements remain sustainable,” he said.
Through this outreach, ULM hopes that all study programs will immediately adjust their curricula and learning strategies. Thus, ULM students will be increasingly prepared to compete nationally and internationally, in line with the university’s vision to produce superior and impactful graduates.
