Prof. Said Agil Delivers a Sermon on the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday at the ULM Campus Mosque
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a solemn commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday 1447 AH. The event, held at the ULM Campus Mosque, was attended by the entire academic community, including university leaders, lecturers, staff, and students. Also present ULM Vice Rector III for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Rusmin Nuryadin, S.E., M.Si., who in his remarks encouraged all attendees to emulate the noble morals of the Prophet Muhammad in their daily lives.
The event culminated in a religious sermon delivered by Prof. Dr. K.H. Said Agil Husin Al-Munawar, M.A. In his sermon, the Professor of Quranic Interpretation thoroughly explored the importance of emulating the leadership and morals of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in the context of modern life, both as individuals, students, and as members of society.
“This commemoration of the Prophet’s Birthday is not just an annual ceremony, but an important opportunity for us to reflect on and emulate the Prophet’s noble qualities. His honesty, trustworthiness, intelligence, and social concern are the keys to success, not only in the afterlife but also in this world,” said Prof. Said Agil Husin Al-Munawar.
On the occasion, the Vice Rector III of ULM also emphasized the importance of religious activities in shaping the character of students who excel not only academically but also possess admirable morals and character. He hoped that through this commemoration of the Prophet’s Birthday, the entire ULM academic community would learn lessons and wisdom to become better individuals.
“ULM is committed to continuing to support activities that can enhance faith and piety, as well as shape the character of students with noble morals. Hopefully, by emulating the Prophet Muhammad, we can all make a positive contribution to the progress of the nation and state,” said Vice Rector III.
The commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday at ULM proceeded smoothly and was met with enthusiasm from the attendees. In addition to religious lectures, the event also included the recitation of verses from the Quran and a communal prayer, adding to the solemn atmosphere. It is hoped that such activities will continue to be a regular event to strengthen ties and enhance religious understanding on the ULM campus.
