ULM Signs Cooperation Agreement with Bank Indonesia Institute, Opening Opportunities for Research Collaboration with Students
Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Bank Indonesia Institute (BINS) on Thursday (June 26, 2025). The PKS covers research assistance (banlit) provided by the BI Institute to undergraduate through doctoral students at Lambung Mangkurat University.
The PKS was signed by ULM’s Vice Rector for Cooperation, Public Relations, and Information Systems, Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc., along with Ir. Clarita Ligaya Iskandar, MIA, Head of the Bank Indonesia Institute (BINS). The signing ceremony also coincided with the BINS Goes to Campus event held at ULM’s Faculty of Economics and Business.
The BI Institute Research Assistance Program (Banlit) is a financial assistance program from the Bank Indonesia Institute for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students preparing their final projects on topics related to the scope of central banking and the implementation of Bank Indonesia’s duties.
Banlit proposal topics related to Economics and Central Banking include Monetary, Macroprudential, the Real Sector, Payment Systems, and Financial System Stability. Students can also propose social research topics such as Politics, Law, and Institutions.
Approved proposals will receive the following incentives from Bank Indonesia:
- Undergraduate students: Rp 10,000,000
- Master’s students: Rp 15,000,000
- Doctoral students: Rp 20,000,000
The copyright for research or publications will remain with the respective researchers or their respective universities. Furthermore, Bank Indonesia also has the right to publish and/or use research results, with the researcher’s approval, as a reference and for the benefit of Bank Indonesia.
This collaboration is expected to foster mutually beneficial collaboration between universities and Bank Indonesia, as the central bank of the Republic of Indonesia, in order to advance the Indonesian economy.
