ON-MIPA Selection at Lambung Mangkurat University Level 2025: Exploring Student Potential Towards National Achievement

Banjarmasin, February 6, 2025 — Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a selection for the National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad (ON-MIPA) at the university level which took place at the General Building Lecture Theater ULM Banjarmasin. This activity was attended by students from various faculties at ULM who were ready to compete to represent the university at the national level.

The event was opened by the Head of the ULM Academic and Student Affairs Bureau (BAK), Hj. Nieke Rezeki Febriantie, S.E., M.M., who emphasized the importance of this competition as a means to improve students’ academic excellence.

“This competition is not only a face for students to improve their academic excellence, but also as an arena to foster enthusiasm, innovation, creativity, sportsmanship, and healthy competition. We hope that the potentials within students can be explored through this event,” she said.

This selection is coordinated by the Person in Charge (PIC) of ON-MIPA ULM, Dr. Muhammad Ahsar K., S.Si., M.Sc., who ensures that the selection process runs smoothly and transparently. Participating students will be tested in various fields, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology, with the aim of finding the best individuals who will bring ULM’s good name to the national level.

The implementation of this ON-MIPA selection aims to explore the best potential of ULM students, uphold the values of honesty and hard work, and encourage them to continue learning and developing. In addition, this activity is a forum to prepare students to face challenges in the academic and professional world, while strengthening the university’s competitiveness on the national stage.

With a spirit of healthy competition and high integrity, it is hoped that the participants can show their best performance and bring home proud achievements for Lambung Mangkurat University.
