Socialization of the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW), ULM Encourages Students to Explore Entrepreneurial Potential

Banjarmasin – The Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) is a program that aims to encourage and foster students in developing entrepreneurial skills with 6 business categories such as food and beverages, cultivation, creative industry, arts and culture, services, tourism & trade, manufacturing and applied technology, and finally in the digital business sector.

P2MW, initiated by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology, is held annually and aims to improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem in higher education through coaching, mentoring, and business training for students.

Lambung Mangkurat University also supports the implementation of this program and encourages its students to participate and explore their entrepreneurial potential. In 2024, a total of 11 proposals from the ULM team were successful in obtaining funding for the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) from the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture.

Therefore, Lambung Mangkurat University held a socialization activity to strengthen the 2025 Student Entrepreneurship Development (P2MW) program. The activity was held on Wednesday (4/12/2024) at the General Building of ULM Banjarmasin, presenting hundreds of ULM students and inviting the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni in the ULM environment.

Vice Rector III for Student Affairs and Alumni Dr. Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE., M.Si, said that this activity was carried out in order to increase student interest in the P2MW program so that they can develop creative and innovative ideas and increase synergy between students, supervising lecturers, and the university.

This activity is expected to be a call for all faculties in ULM, especially to the vice deans who are present to be able to invite their students to participate and actively develop their creative entrepreneurial ideas in the 2025 P2MW program.

Not only having the opportunity to develop a business plan, this activity also provides an opportunity for students throughout Indonesia who will later pass to get funding to gather at the expo activity which is planned to be held in Batam City in 2025 to be re-selected to get the best group per category.

“So in this program, they will be fostered, directed, and funded for initial businesses or businesses that have been running so far, which want to be strengthened again from existing businesses, yes from this program, so follow this program,” said Vice Rector III of ULM.
