Implementation of the 2024 Palm Oil Research Grant Socialization to Support Palm Oil Sustainability in Indonesia
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University in collaboration with the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) opened a research grant for palm oil research and development. In this regard, the ULM Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) tried to facilitate the implementation of the 2024 Palm Oil Research Grant (GRS) Socialization on Tuesday (5/3/2024) at the ULM General Building.
The socialization was opened by Vice Rector II ULM Dr. Arief Rahman who appreciated this event in order to gain information and knowledge regarding the opportunities that can be taken from palm oil funding through this socialization.
“Hopefully those present today (the Palm Oil Grant Recipient Team) represent those who are ready with their proposals.”
Present as resource persons were Tatang Hernas Soerawidjaja (BPDPKS Research and Development Committee) and Arfie Thahar, STP., MM (Head of BPDPKS Service Program Division) who further discussed the opportunities and challenges of palm oil research in supporting palm oil sustainability in Indonesia. Apart from that, it was also attended by lecturers at ULM as well as lecturers at private universities in South Kalimantan.
Not to forget, the Vice Rector II also expressed his gratitude for the resource person’s willingness to share and share information with the ULM academic community regarding palm oil research which will hopefully be a motivation for other ULM teams to contribute to the submission of research proposals opened by BPDPKS at another time.
