Inauguration and Onboarding of the 2024 MSIB Program “Developing Potential and Creativity in the Digital Era, Winning Global Competition”

Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held the Inauguration of Certified Independent Study and Internship (MSIB) Batch 5 and Onboarding MSIB Batch 6 in 2024 with the theme “Developing Potential and Creativity in the Digital Era, Winning Global Competition” Merdeka Belajar Campus Merdeka Kemendikbudristek located in the General Building Lecture Theater ULM Banjarmasin, Saturday (03/02/2024). This event was attended by the PIC of the MSIB program, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hesty Heryani, M.S., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Ipham Fitrian Radam, S.T., M.T., Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Dr. Untung Bijaksana, M.P., Vice Dean and Head of Study Programs at ULM.

The committee chairman reported that there were still several obstacles faced by MSIB Batch 5 participants. These obstacles included errors in filling in GPA scores, a feeling of not receiving good guidance, difficulties in converting courses, and a slow verification process. It is hoped that these obstacles can be used as evaluation material to improve program quality in the future.

Prof. Hesty in her speech emphasized that the MSIB program has output in Key Performance Indicators (IKU) 1, 2, and 6. She was also proud of the fact that the achievements of ULM students in the MSIB program had reached the national level. Prof. However, he also hopes that students will no longer be burdened with online lectures while undergoing the MSIB program. This is expected to make students focus more on their internship program. This activity closed with the symbolic handover of the Red and White flag and ULM, and the handing over of charters to students, study programs and faculties.
