32 Dentists Take an Oath at the 33rd Dentist Oath

Banjarmasin – The Faculty of Dentistry, Lambung Mangkurat University (FKG (ULM) took the 33rd Dentist Oath, Thursday (30/11/2023). A total of 32 dentists were inaugurated and took the oath directly by the Dean of FKG Prof. Dr. drg. Maharani Laillyza Apriasari, Sp.PM., in the Hall of the Faculty of Dentistry. This oath taking ceremony was attended directly by the Rector of ULM Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si., all members of the Senate of the Faculty of Dentistry, the Head of the Dental Hospital and Mouth Gusti Hasan Aman, Head of Ulin Banjarmasin Regional Hospital, and all academic members of the ULM Faculty of Dentistry.

Director of RSGM Hasan Aman drg. Teguh Hadianto, sp.KG in his speech congratulated the new dentists. He hopes that future dental graduates will continue their education and continue to explore knowledge through sub-specialties. “Science will always develop, therefore at least always be up to date with science and technology related to dentistry,”.

He also advised dentists to continue to improve the quality of service to the community. “We have gone through the Covid-19 pandemic era and now the number of patients is increasing. “So far, we (RSGM) have collaborated with the ULM Dentistry faculty to provide the best service to the community,” said Drg. Teguh.

ULM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., took the opportunity to attend this event to express his appreciation to the new dentists and their parents and families. He said that Indonesia, especially the South Kalimantan region, really needs contributions from new dentists in realizing national development towards a healthy society.

“The service you provide to society will one day be an indicator that ULM is able to produce alumni who have dedication and dignity in carrying out their duties as dentists,” said the Rector.

The Rector also reminded new dentists about the challenges they would face in the future. To face these challenges, Prof. Ahmad advised new dentists to continue to update their insight and knowledge. “Without continuous improvement in the field of learning, you will be left behind in filling scientific developments and keeping pace with developments in science and technology. Never stop learning here. “Be a dentist who learns endlessly,” concluded the Rector.
