CEDC Day Brings Together Alumni and Companies, Supporting Increasing the University’s IKU

Banjarmasin – Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (CEDC) Lambung Mangkurat University held CEDC Day. This activity was held for 2 days from 30 to 31 October 2023 at the Student Activity Center General Building ULM Banjarmasin. This ULM Career and Development Center Day activity was carried out in order to increase the achievement of Main Performance Indicators (IKU) 1. ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si, Vice Rector for Alumni and Student Affairs Dr. Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE., M.Si, and the Head of the ULM Academic and Student Affairs Bureau were present at the opening of this event.

During this activity, CEDC also held an MSME Bazaar and a Job Fair which anyone could attend for free. The CEDC Day job fair bazaar was attended by various companies such as Julong Group Indonesia, BFI Finance, CSUL Finance, CV. Wellen Building Banua, PT. Prima Karya Sarana Sejahtera, PT. Sinar Jaya Komunika, and BNI.

In his speech, the Rector of ULM said that problems related to alumni or information related to alumni were problems that directly touched on IKU (Main Performance Indicators), namely IKU 1 and IKU 2, the achievement targets of which have not yet been achieved. Therefore, the Rector hopes that the IKU achievements in 2023 can achieve the desired target. This certainly would not have been possible without the contribution of many parties in supporting the success of increasing ULM’s KPI. “Please work on approaches that are needed for everyone. It is impossible for the Rector or Vice Rector to achieve IKU alone, but within the ULM environment everyone must contribute,” said the Rector.

It is hoped that CEDC can work more effectively in the management of filling in the Tracer Study, even if necessary, the study program must also contribute in directing its alumni to be able to fill in the tracer study. Tracer Studies are carried out regularly for the alumni produced, the results of completing this Tracer Study can also be used to be used in the study program curriculum at ULM, and of course this is a very strategic thing for both study programs, faculties and universities.
