ULM Achieves Independent Clusters for Higher Education Based on Research and Community Service Performance in 2022
Banjarmasin – University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) has succeeded in reaching the Independent level in Higher Education Clustering in 2023. This ranking was obtained based on the Decree of the Director of Research, Technology and Community Service Number 0241/E5/DT.06.01/2023 dated 28 February 2022 concerning Determination of Clusterization Higher Education based on Research Performance and Community Service.
Announcement of the results of this clustering was uploaded on the website Kemdikbudristek on Thursday (9/3/2022) with letter number 0183/E5.5/AL.04/2023 concerning Announcement of Higher Education Clusterization. In Appendix I of the List of Universities Providing Academic Education, University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) is included in the Mandiri cluster along with 40 PTNs and PTS and is the only state university in Kalimantan that is included in the Mandiri cluster.
Based on a circular from the Director General of Higher Education, the clustering of higher education institutions in 2023 is determined based on the results of SINTA-based higher education performance data processing in the period 2019 to 2021. The performance data that is calculated itself is data that has been verified and validated by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) verifier ) College. ULM’s achievement as a PTN which is included in the independent cluster, side by side with Indonesia’s top PTN and PTS, is proof of the improvement and development of the quality and quantity that ULM has in terms of research and community service. This achievement is also the result of the work of the entire academic community, especially the lecturers and students who have actively conducted research and community service in order to spread the benefits of their knowledge and skills.
At the beginning of 2023 as many as 11 ULM lecturers also received an award from the Chancellor after successfully being ranked in the Top 100 or top 100 Indonesian researchers according to the AD Scientific Index. This achievement was obtained based on the scientific performance and productivity of the lecturers for the last 5 years.
The various achievements currently achieved by ULM are a manifestation of ULM’s efforts to improve the quality of human resources in Indonesia, especially in South Kalimantan. In accordance with ULM’s vision: “The realization of ULM as a leading and competitive university in the field of wetland environment”, ULM continues to strive to improve its performance to be able to compete not only at the national level but also at the international level.
