ULM Supports Scholarship Recipients, Building a Positive Mindset and Academic Discipline

Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting student academic success by holding the 2026 Scholarship Recipient Student Achievement Improvement Program, held in the Theater Hall of the ULM Banjarmasin Postgraduate Building on Saturday (April 11, 2026).

The event, themed “Efforts to Improve Academic Achievement,” was attended by scholarship recipients at ULM, as part of ULM’s efforts to ensure the continuity of their studies and improve their academic achievement.

In his remarks, ULM’s Student Welfare Sub-Coordinator, Noorrahmat Hidayat, emphasized the importance of maintaining academic achievement for scholarship recipients, given the requirements that must be met for scholarship continuation.

“Academic achievement is crucial because it is related to the sustainability of the scholarship, such as the minimum GPA. We hope that scholarship recipients can complete their studies on time, thus supporting not only their personal achievements but also the university’s performance,” he said.

He also reminded that scholarship programs, including the KIP Kuliah (Kiliah Scholarship), have a maximum funding period of eight semesters, so students are expected to manage their time and study strategies optimally.

This coaching session featured two professional speakers in the field of psychology: Rizqi Amalia Aprianty, M.Psi., Psychologist, and Dina Aprilia, M.Psi., Psychologist. The first session, titled “Self-Evaluation and Learning Strategy Management,” emphasized the importance of self-reflection and effective study planning. The second session, “Self-Motivation,” focused on strengthening students’ internal motivation in facing academic challenges.

Through this activity, participants gained not only theoretical understanding but also practical encouragement to improve study discipline, manage academic pressure, and develop a positive mindset for achieving success.

With this coaching session, Lambung Mangkurat University reaffirmed its role as an institution that not only provides access to education but also ensures students receive comprehensive mentoring. This effort is part of ULM’s commitment to producing superior, resilient, and competitive graduates, while strengthening its position as an impactful campus in human resource development.
