Banjarmasin — The Rocket Incubation by YABN 2026 Scholarship Program officially kicked off with an online kick-off event on Sunday (February 15, 2026). Fifty IBFL (Indonesia Bright Future Leader) scholarship recipients participated, 47 of whom were students at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM).

Representing the ULM Rector, Acting Rector of ULM, Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc., welcomed the implementation of the Rocket Incubation 2026 program and assessed that it aligns with the university’s commitment to encouraging students to become innovative young entrepreneurs. He emphasized that the program provides comprehensive practical entrepreneurial experience through intensive mentoring, ensuring students acquire not only theoretical knowledge but also practical business skills.

“This program aligns with efforts to boost national economic growth, which is targeted to reach eight percent per year. We hope that future national entrepreneurs will emerge from the hands of this younger generation,” he said.

The Rocket Incubation Program by YABN 2026 is a six-month entrepreneurial capacity development program for Indonesia Bright Future Leader (IBFL) scholarship recipients, with a structured mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation scheme. This program is designed to create a generation of young entrepreneurs who are adaptive, resilient, and capable of making an economic and social impact.

In his remarks, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, Founder of the Indonesia Setara Foundation and Sandination Academy, commended Lambung Mangkurat University as one of the best universities in South Kalimantan and considered the participants’ enthusiasm a crucial asset in building an entrepreneurial ecosystem.

“I truly appreciate the enthusiasm of those who attended this activity. Going forward, this program will not be merely ceremonial, but will focus on real and measurable collaboration to accelerate the birth of new brands and startups,” said Sandiaga.

Sandiaga also stated that more than 250 brands have been accelerated through the entrepreneurial ecosystem he has built, some of which have penetrated the international market. He hopes that Rocket Incubation 2026 participants will be able to follow in their footsteps by prioritizing character building as the foundation for future business leadership.

Zuraida Murdia Hamdie, Head of the Amanah Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN), emphasized that Indonesia needs more entrepreneurs to support the national economy. According to her, this program aims to facilitate students with an interest and potential in business so they can develop their businesses sustainably.

“Through this activity, we hope that students with an interest and potential in entrepreneurship can receive maximum support,” she said.

Zuraida explained that the 50 program participants are students from areas surrounding our operational areas and have achieved success at both the national and international levels. Based on these achievements, Zuraida encouraged the participants to continue improving their skills and competitiveness.

“Prove that students studying in Banjarmasin are not inferior to those in Java,” she emphasized. Through the Rocket Incubation program by YABN 2026, it is hoped that future students will become graduates who not only excel academically but also possess an entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and global competitiveness, in line with ULM’s vision and mission. This program is expected to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem on campus and encourage real contributions from ULM students to regional and national economic development.
