ULM Assists Liang Anggang Village Officials to Improve SDGs Data Collection
TANAH LAUT – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), through the Public Administration Program Team of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), provided village data collection training for Liang Anggang Village officials in Bati-Bati District, Tanah Laut Regency. The training took place at the Liang Anggang Village Office on Saturday (August 30, 2025).
The team leader, Sidderatul Akbar, explained that the training focused on procedures for inputting data on the Village’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“We are conducting this community service here because Liang Anggang Village’s SDGs score is still low, only 33.25 percent, even though the village has been independent since 2024,” he said.
He emphasized that independent villages should have a score above 60 percent. Therefore, ULM took the initiative to assist village officials in better understanding the data collection process, which covers the individual, family, neighborhood association (RT), and village levels. “The data collection team must truly understand how to fill out the questionnaire in detail to ensure accurate data,” he added.
The training, facilitated by LPPM ULM, was attended by dozens of participants and was interactive. Village officials asked many questions about the technical aspects of data entry and its use for development.
“Hopefully, this PDWA will be beneficial, especially in improving village officials’ understanding of SDGs data collection,” said Sidderatul.
The Secretary of Liang Anggang Village, Rahmat Ilahi, expressed his appreciation for ULM’s support. He stated that the village has faced challenges such as limited budget, infrastructure, and human resources, resulting in suboptimal SDG data entry. With a population of over 4,000 people spread across four hamlets, the need for data collectors is significant.
“This training activity is very important because it supports the capacity building of village officials. We are targeting completion of data entry by 2025, as we have a dedicated budget and team,” he said.
The PDWA Public Administration Team from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of the Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) is chaired by Sidderatul Akbar, with members including Prof. H. Asmu’i, M. Riduansyah Syafari, Enly Hadiyanor, and Sugeng Karyadi. They are also assisted by four students: Cantika Ayu W., Daffa Arkan, Najih Hasbi, and Reza Ramadani.
Through this mentoring, ULM hopes that village and regional governments will pay more serious attention to the importance of SDGs data. Furthermore, President Prabowo has targeted all villages to achieve a 100 percent poverty-free indicator by 2030.
