National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) 2025 Officially Opened
The National Selection Committee for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) held a press conference to launch the 2025 state university entrance selection system. The press conference was held on Wednesday (11/12/2024) and broadcast live via the official SNPMB ID Youtube channel.
Here is some important information related to the 2025 SNPMB that was delivered at the press conference:
2025 National Selection Path for New Student Registration (SNPMB)
Achievement-Based National Selection (SNBP): minimum 20% of study program capacity
Test-Based National Selection (SNBT): minimum 40% of study program capacity
Independent Selection: maximum 30% of study program capacity
*note: the percentage for PTN-BH is different (SNBT min 30%, Mandiri max. 50%)
Differences from last year:
- Additional 5% eligible student quota on SNBP for schools using the e-report system
- Maximum 4 study program choices (previously maximum 3)

*note: each participant can only take the UTBK once and the results are only valid for the SNBT selection and PTN admission in 2025
UTBK participant criteria:
- Graduates of SMA/SMK/MA/equivalent in 2023, 2024, and 2025
- Graduates of Package C in 2023, 2024, and 2025 with a maximum age of 25 years as of July 1, 2025.
All schools and participants are required to have an account on the SNPMB Portal (https://portal snpmb.bppp.kemdikbud.go.id). Schools that already have an old SNPMB account do not need to create a new account. Meanwhile, all participants, including gap year, are required to create a new SNPMB account.
In terms of choosing a study program in the 2025 SNBT, SNBT participants are allowed to choose a maximum of 4 study program options, consisting of 2 academic program options (Bachelor’s Degree) and 2 vocational program options (Diploma Three and Diploma Four/Applied Bachelor’s Degree). Complete provisions for choosing a study program in the 2025 SNBT can be seen in the table below.

Applicants for the 2025 SNPMB from economically disadvantaged families can apply for educational assistance under the Indonesia Smart Card for College (KIP Kuliah) scheme. KIP Kuliah registration is only valid for study program choices at PTN Kemdiktisaintek.
