Workshop on Optimizing Academic Guidance Services for Academic Advisory Lecturers at Lambung Mangkurat University
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University Academic Guidance and Counseling Support Unit (UPA BK ULM) held a workshop on optimizing academic guidance services for academic advisor lecturers in the work environment of Lambung Mangkurat University on Tuesday, February 27 2024 at the Postgraduate Lecture Theater. This event was attended by the ViceDean for Student and Alumni Affairs, FKIP, Dr. Ali Rachman, M.Pd. , Dr. Ririanti Rachmayanie Jamain, S.Psi as Head of UPA BK, and Chair of the Higher Education Counseling Guidance Association (IBKPT) Dr. Dodi Hartanto, M.Pd.
Dr. Sulistiyana, S.Pd., M.Pd. As Chief Executive, he said that this activity was one of the programs of the UPA BK ULM, seeing from the increasing phenomenon of students registering to consult with the UPA BK at SIMARI. “From the large number of consultation requests, we are following up by holding a workshop on optimizing academic guidance services for advisor lecturers today,” said Dr. Sulistiyana. UPA ULM hopes that this workshop activity will be an effort to optimize us in providing academic guidance services to students because our students need PA lecturers not only when filling out Study Plan Cards (KRS) but also in other fields and problems. If later there are things that cannot be handled then they can be served by UPA BK by registering themselves at SIMARI.
Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, FKIP, Dr. Ali Rachman, said in his speech that the phenomenon of students consulting at SIMARI, some of these consultations were very confidential, there was also miscommunication when students wanted to consult via SIMARI and the admin had replied to schedule the consultation but the student did not open the email. Hopefully this workshop can maximize the activities at ULM and prevent students from venting outside or even on social media.
This workshop activity was guided by Dedy Ari Nugroho, M.Pd. as moderator with the first material, namely Strengthening Guidance and Counseling Services in Higher Education delivered by Dr. Ririanti Rachmayanie Jamain, S.Psi and the second material will be delivered by Dr. Dodi Hartanto, M.Pd. and will be followed by practical and discussion sessions.
