Improving Abilities and Sharpening Entrepreneurial Skills, KOPMA Holds Creative Business Training.
Banjarmasin – The Student Activity Unit (UKM) of the Lambung Mangkurat University Student Cooperative (KOPMA ULM) held Ecoprint creative business training on Sunday (10/12/2023). This activity was held in the ULM Banjarmasin Library Hall and was attended by all members of the ULM KOPMA UKM.
Carrying the theme “Environmentally Friendly Art Expressions, Alternative Sustainable Entrepreneurial Products”, KOPMA ULM invited Abdul Hakim as a speaker and also provided training on making ecoprints. This activity was carried out as an effort to form the creativity of young prospective entrepreneurs in business development.
Ecoprint is a printing technique on fabric using natural coloring which is quite simple but produces unique and authentic motifs. Making ecoprints is done by directly attaching colored pigmented plant parts, such as leaves or flowers, to prepared fabric media.
In contrast to the usual batik dyeing technique which extracts color from plants first before painting it onto the fabric, the ecoprint dyeing technique involves directly attaching dye plants to the fabric, making the motifs obtained distinctive and unique. Apart from that, the ecoprint coloring method is known to be environmentally friendly and has business opportunities because of its unique and distinctive printing results.
Through this training activity, KOPMA ULM hopes that its members will not only have the ability to create ecoprint products, but also have the skills to develop business potential and market them. KOPMA ULM believes that to produce young entrepreneurs, apart from needing to hone a creative, innovative and competitive spirit, it is also necessary to strengthen competence in designing products to be marketed.
KOPMA ULM exists as a forum for ULM students who have an interest in honing their entrepreneurial skills. KOPMA ULM operates by upholding the values of “group entrepreneurship” in accommodating prospective young entrepreneurs with a cooperative spirit at Lambung Mangkurat University.
