IKA Fahutan Run 10K 2023 Enlivened by Hundreds of Runners from Various Circles

BANJARBARU – The Start Flag raised by the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry (Fahutan) Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Banjarbaru, Prof. Kissinger, and the Chair of the Fahutan ULM Banjarbaru Alumni Family Association (IKA), Ir Muhammad Helmi marked the start of the 2023 IKA Fahutan Run 10K event, Sunday ( 10/12) morning. The running competition, which was held for the first time by Fahutan ULM Banjarbaru, was attended by hundreds of participants from various circles, from students to alumni.

Chief Executive of the IKA Fahutan Run 10K 2023, Taufik Mubaroq, said that this activity is a moment for all elements of society, especially in Banjarbaru City, to be able to exercise together. “We (IKA Fahutan) realize that we need a moment, place and space that is large enough to “at the same time building relationships with running sports activists from various communities and regions, especially in South Kalimantan,” he said.

Taufiq said more clearly, there are two categories in the IKA Fahutan Run 10K 2023, namely the general category and male and female students. “From these two categories, there were 420 runners who enlivened the inaugural event of IKA Fahutan ULM,” he said. As for the route, the IKA Fahutan Run 10K 2023 starts from the ULM Banjarbaru Forestry Faculty area, crosses Jalan Ahmad Yani, then goes to Jalan R.O Ulin. Then enter Jalan Ambulung, then exit onto Jalan Trikora, enter again onto Jalan Dahlina Raya, and return to the ULM Banjarbaru Forestry Faculty area. “To enliven the event, we have prepared many door prizes, and of course there are medals and training money for each winner in each category,” he explained.

According to him, the aim of holding the IKA Fahutan Run 10K 2023 is firstly to increase direct public participation and awareness in sports activities. As well as re-establishing a healthy lifestyle by exercising and playing a role in achieving community immunity. “Of course, to build good relations and friendship between alumni of the ULM Faculty of Forestry and sports activists, especially the running community and elements of society on campus,” he added.

Taufiq said that the IKA Fahutan Run 10K would become an annual event. “This is an opportunity to introduce the ULM Forestry Faculty, especially to students in the student category.
