ULM Strengthens Institutional Governance and Improves the Quality of Protocol Human Resources through Protocol Training
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held Inhouse Training on Protocols and Services for Leadership in order to strengthen the quality of institutional governance and services. This training was held at the ULM Banjarmasin Rectorate, Thursday (19/2/2026) and was attended by the ULM Protocol team and presented professional resource person Grace Mamahit (weprocommunication).
This training was officially opened by the Daily Acting (Plh) Rector of ULM, Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc., who also serves as Deputy Rector for Cooperation, Public Relations and Information Systems. In his remarks, the Acting Chancellor emphasized the importance of increasing the capacity of the protocol team as part of efforts to strengthen university governance.
“Protocols are an important part of carrying out institutional activities and leadership services. The professionalism of the protocol team reflects the readiness of Lambung Mangkurat University as a superior and competitive university,” said Dr. Yusuf Azis.
He added that increasing the competency of human resources in the field of protocols needs to be carried out continuously in line with the increasing intensity of cooperation and strategic activities of universities.
“We hope that this training can improve service standards, strengthen coordination, and support the image of a professional and accountable institution at national and international levels,” he continued.
This in-house training aims to improve the understanding and skills of the protocol team in supporting the activities of university leaders, carrying out official events, and implementing modern protocol standards. The training material covers basic principles of protocol, leadership service ethics, event management, as well as best practices in institutional services.
The presence of external sources is expected to enrich perspectives and provide updates on protocol practices according to professional standards.
The implementation of this training is part of Lambung Mangkurat University’s strategy to strengthen institutional governance, institutional communication and leadership services as important elements in supporting the university’s vision. It is hoped that increasing the capacity of the protocol team will be able to support the implementation of academic activities, collaboration and strategic activities of the university in a more professional and structured manner.
