ULM Inaugurates 18 New Dentists at the 28th Dental Oath
Banjarmasin – The Faculty of Dentistry, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), once again held its 28th Dental Oath ceremony solemnly on August 5, 2025, in the ULM Faculty of Dentistry Hall.
A total of 18 new dentists officially took the oath and are ready to serve the community as professional healthcare workers. This oath ceremony marks the culmination of the graduates’ academic journey after completing their dental professional education.
The oath-taking ceremony was witnessed by faculty officials and strategic partners, officially recognizing their readiness to enter the professional world. The graduates participating in the 28th dental oath-taking ceremony are as follows:

Attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, ULM, Prof. Dr. drg. Maharani Lailyza Apriasari, Sp.PM, faculty leaders, parents, and families of the graduates, the event was held solemnly and with pride.
In attendance were not only ULM internal staff, but also strategic partners, particularly the Gusti Hasan Aman Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) ULM, namely the Director of the Gusti Hasan Aman Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM), Drg. Teguh Hadianto, Sp.KG., M.Kes., who has provided practical opportunities and facilities to the FKG ULM students during their education.
In his remarks, the Director of RSGM Gusti Hasan Aman expressed his pride in the graduates’ achievements and hoped they would maintain integrity and professional ethics in carrying out their duties as dentists. He also encouraged the graduates to continue developing themselves and not be complacent. For him, this dental oath ceremony was the beginning of a journey, and there are still many challenges to be faced, especially in serving the wider community.
“Serving the community is more important than simply enjoying a degree,” said the Director of RSGM Gusti Hasan Aman.
Echoing the Director of RSGM, Gusti Hasan Aman, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (ULM), also expressed his hope that the 18 graduates would return to their hometowns, given the shortage of new dentists in certain areas.
“Those areas of origin still desperately need new dentists,” said Dr. Maharani.
Furthermore, she expressed her hope that the graduates’ education would not end here, but could continue to the specialist level. He also expressed his hope that the career networks of FKG ULM graduates would expand, not only within healthcare institutions but also within other government agencies, such as the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (POLRI), where one of their alumni has already achieved a successful career.
With this inauguration, the Faculty of Dentistry at ULM reaffirms its commitment to producing competent, ethical medical personnel who are ready to contribute to improving the quality of dental health services in Indonesia, particularly in South Kalimantan.
