Eid homecoming is an annual tradition that is eagerly awaited by Indonesians. Homecoming is not only a fun time, but also often full of challenges, especially for those who travel long distances. If you want your Eid homecoming trip to be smooth and comfortable, here are some tips that you can use:

  1. Check the Condition of the Vehicle Before Departing: To ensure that the homecoming trip runs smoothly, it is very important to ensure that the vehicle is in good condition. Make sure the engine, electrical system, brakes, tires, and vehicle oil are checked. Don’t forget to bring emergency equipment such as a jack, spare tire, and first aid kit on long trips.
  2. Bring the Necessary Equipment: In addition to personal belongings, make sure to bring equipment such as snacks, drinking water, medicines, and cellphone chargers. In addition, if you are bringing small children, make sure to bring their equipment, such as toys, milk, and baby food.
  3. Obey Traffic Rules: Do not rush and obey traffic rules, such as wearing seat belts, avoiding excessive speed, and not using cellphones while driving. Safety over time.
  4. Pay Attention to Weather and Road Conditions

The weather can affect your trip, especially if there is heavy rain or slippery road conditions. Always check the weather forecast before leaving and be prepared for bad conditions.

  1. Prepare Mentally and Emotionally

Homecoming is often full of traffic jams, sometimes tense family gatherings, and fatigue. Maintain your mental and emotional health so that your trip remains enjoyable. Try to always think positively and enjoy every moment of homecoming.

  1. Use Public Transportation If Driving is Not Possible

If you feel that traveling using a private vehicle is too tiring or impossible, consider using public transportation such as trains, buses, or airplanes.

LMMC Lambung Mangkurat University also added homecoming tips from them from a health perspective, namely:

  1. Prepare a prime physical condition before going home
  2. Provide multivitamins, personal medication and drink lots of water
  3. Rest if you start to feel tired, don’t force it.
  4. Prepare supplies with balanced nutrition.

The Eid homecoming trip can run smoothly and be enjoyable if you prepare well. Happy homecoming and celebrating Eid al-Fitr with your loved ones!
