BPS of South Kalimantan Province and ULM Strengthen Synergy for Development
Banjarmasin – The gathering and audience between the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of South Kalimantan Province and Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) on Wednesday (5/3/2025) was an important moment to discuss the extension of the Memorandum of Understanding / MoU and opportunities for broader cooperation. This meeting aims to strengthen synergy in various fields, including statistics, economics, and other sciences, in order to realize better development.
In the meeting, the Head of BPS of South Kalimantan Province, Yos Rusdiansyah, expressed his appreciation for ULM’s support in various BPS programs.
“We greatly appreciate the cooperation that has been established with ULM and hope to continue to expand this synergy to support better development,” said Yos Rusdiansyah.
ULM Rector, Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si., also welcomed this cooperation and hoped to continue collaborating with BPS in various fields.
“We are committed to supporting BPS in providing accurate and relevant data for regional development. This synergy is expected to provide great benefits to the community,” said the Rector.
The collaboration between BPS of South Kalimantan Province and ULM has been going well so far. One form of collaboration that has been established is the inauguration of the Statistics Corner at ULM. This Statistics Corner was inaugurated on June 9, 2021. This Statistics Corner aims to provide access to accurate and relevant statistical data for students, lecturers, and researchers at ULM, as well as the general public.
In addition, BPS and ULM have also collaborated in various research and community service activities. This collaboration includes the provision of statistical data for academic research, statistical training for students and lecturers, and collaboration in compiling statistical publications that are useful for regional development.
