31st Dentist Oath Taking: 99 Percent Graduated On Time

Banjarmasin, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Lambung Mangkurat (FKG (ULM) held the 31st Dentist Oath Taking, Tuesday (27/06/2023). A total of 17 graduates were inaugurated and sworn in by the Deputy Dean of FKG drg. Irham Taufiqurrahman, M.Si ., Med., Sp.BMMF (K), FICS in the Hall of the Faculty of Dentistry.The oath-taking was attended by the Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance Dr. Ir. Arief Rahmad Maulana Akbar, M.Sc., IPU, all members of the Faculty senate Dentistry, Leaders of the Gusti Hasan Aman Dental and Oral Hospital, Leaders of the Ulin Hospital in Banjarmasin, Representatives of the South Kalimantan Provincial Health Office and all the academic community of the ULM Faculty of Dentistry.

Director of RSGM drg. Teguh Hadianto, sp.KG in his speech congratulated the new dentists and hoped that graduates would continue to explore knowledge through sub-specialties because he believed science would always develop. He also believes that the title of doctor contains a big responsibility to society. The doctor is an independent figure and has a social soul. “So please maintain your attitude and morals towards the community. Always develop science” he ordered.

drg. Irham in his remarks said that FKG ULM continues to improve, as evidenced by the increasing number of graduates on time. This is one of the educational achievements that was also inscribed by FKG ULM for an even better ULM ranking. FKG is committed to building a good, dignified and global system. A good and integrated system in accordance with educational guidelines, rules and legal basis.

On the occasion drg. Irham also reported that assistance from the ministry for the construction of two ULM FKG buildings had been approved. The two buildings of FKG ULM are planned for Management development, the Kalimantan Education and Training Center as well as for the development of post-graduate programs (S2, S3 and Specialists). “It is hoped that the new buildings will make us run fast and side by side with other universities in Indonesia,” he said

drg. Irham also congratulated and succeeded the graduates. “Congratulations to the new dentists. Good luck and carry out the mandate to become a dentist. Within you flow the promises and vows that you just recited,” he concluded.
