Inaugurating the Integrated Laboratory Building, Rector Urges National Accreditation Immediately
Banjarbaru – Rector of the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si inaugurated the ULM Integrated Laboratory Building, Tuesday (20/06/2023). Also present at the inauguration were the Vice Rector, Dean at ULM, several Heads of Service within the South Kalimantan Provincial Government, and ULM academics.
In his remarks, the Rector expressed his gratitude and gave his highest appreciation to the previous ULM leadership, Prof. Dr. H. Sutarto Hadi, M.Sc., M.Sc and Vice Rector, head of bureau, PPK and person in charge of implementing the ULM integrated laboratory development activities. The Rector also reminded us that our responsibility is how to realize maximum maintenance and utilization to encourage universities to carry out programs, especially research and research activities within ULM.
With the inauguration of this integrated laboratory building, it is hoped that it will answer all the problems faced by ULM in order to support the research and research process. The Rector remembered how the struggles of lecturers or researchers with all the difficulties they had in conducting research were due to the unavailability of adequate integrated laboratories that required them to carry out their research in integrated laboratories provided by tertiary institutions on the island of Java.
The Rector also hopes that an integrated laboratory can be developed, especially in the context of providing services in the field of research in the health sector in the future. “The integrated laboratory is expected to be used for research in the health sector or even serve as a health examination service unit such as blood, urine tests, and so on,” concluded the Rector.
