South Kalimantan BPKP Visits ULM in “BPKP Goes To Campus” Activities

BANJARMASIN – Representatives of the South Kalimantan Province Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) held BPKP Goes To Campus at Lambung Mangkurat University. This activity was in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of BPKP, Tuesday (16/5/2023). The event itself was attended by 241 students from the Faculty of Teaching and Education (FKIP), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Faculty of Law and Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). The BPKP Goes To Campus event this time has the theme Adaptive and Integrated Supervision for Sustainable Development. The highlight of the event was the Supervision Public Lecture delivered by Abror Umar from the South Kalimantan BPKP Representative.

He said that BPKP organized this event in order to establish good communication with stakeholders in order to understand their needs. “From this activity too, we want to convey and provide knowledge about the functions of the BPKP in government,” said Abror Umar. He continued, the supervision activities carried out by the BPKP were mostly focused on national development and the implementation of the APBN/APBD which were carried out in a transparent, accountable and free of corruption manner.

Departing from this, the president needs a reliable internal control function and an adequate internal control system. “The purpose of this supervision is people’s welfare which can be achieved through national development and implementation of the APBN/APBD,” he concluded. At the end of the event there are mini games that can increase the enthusiasm and awareness of the academic community regarding the presence of the BPKP. The hope is that all can participate in collaborating and synergizing with BPKP in overseeing state/regional financial accountability and national development in a responsible manner.
