Regional Government of Bulungan Signs MoU with ULM

Banjarmasin – Located in the Rector’s room of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), Bulungan Regent, Syarwani accompanied by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) Bulungan Risdianto signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Regional Government of Bulungan Regency and ULM. The signing of the MoU between the Regional Government of Bulungan and ULM is a form of cooperation agreement in the implementation of education, research and community service in Bulungan.

Regent Syarwani admitted that he had explained related to food development in realizing regional food sovereignty, advanced and prosperous. “We also discussed strengthening the role of one of the pentahelix elements of development in Bulungan Regency, namely the University of Kaltara (Unikaltar) so that we can collaborate with ULM, both in terms of strengthening higher education governance, as well as in collaborating on research implementation and community service,” said Syarwani , Sunday (7/5).

According to him, Unikaltar is an important part in accelerating regional development. Especially in the implementation of the second mission of regional development. Namely, increasing human resources (HR) that are healthy, intelligent, characterized and competitive. So, the Unikaltar-ULM collaboration needs to be carried out in Bulungan. “Right now the tips have set 15 regional priority programs which are the main domains to become material for the implementation of accelerated regional development,” he said. He explained, these 15 regional priority programs became instruments for carrying out 5 regional development missions, so that they became an important part in accelerating development.
