LPPM ULM Trains Community Gaharu Inoculation Around PT Arutmin’s Mine
 KOTABARU – To further improve the welfare of communities around mining, the Center for Rural Studies and Assisted Areas of LPPM Lambung Mangkurat University in collaboration with PT Arutmin Indonesia Tambang Senakin Kotabaru conducted Gaharu Cultivation Training or Gaharu Inoculation in the community around PT Arutmin Senakin’s mining precisely at the Nurul Robi Tanjung Islamic boarding school Batu District of Central Kalumpang Kotabaru, Leader of KH Muhammad Thohir.
The team from LPPM ULM, namely Executor Dr. Arfa Agustina Rezekiah (Center for Rural and Area Studies of LPPM ULM), Dr. Abdi Fithria (Faculty of Forestry ULM), Selimi Shut, chairman of KNPI HST and Jarkasi (Gaharu Cultivator from HST) and a team from PT. Arutmin Indonesia Tambang Senakin, namely Yudo Prakoso (Adm&CDEA Supt), Andi Alvhian Noor (SHE Supt) and the ComDev Team, namely Noor Firdaus, Ferry, Gunawan, Fajar and Syahrani who directly participated in conducting the training.
Explained by Dr. Arfa Agustina Rezekiah, the purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge and skills regarding gaharu inoculation for the community around PT Arutmin Indonesia’s coal mine. “With this knowledge, people can get gaharu faster than naturally and of course the results can be sold faster,” he concluded. He also hopes that the community can apply the knowledge gained so that their businesses can further develop and be able to improve the economy.
