6 Specialist Doctors and 76 Doctors Appointed and Doctor’s Oath taken

Banjarmasin, the Senate of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lambung Mangkurat (FK ULM) carried out the inauguration and oath-taking of the 2nd batch of Internal Medicine Specialists, the 2nd Batch of Surgeon Specialists, the 4th Batch of Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialists, the 4th Batch of Pulmonary Specialists The 4th Batch and the 85th Batch Doctor’s Oath Taking which were held at the Lecture Theater General Building, Wednesday (25/01/2023).

A total of 6 Specialist Doctors and 76 Doctors were sworn in and sworn in at the Doctor’s Oath Taking. FK Dean Dr. Istiana, M.Kes directly inaugurated and took the Doctor’s oath which was also attended by the Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., Chairman of the Senate, Deputy Rector Dr. Iwan Aflanie, dr., M.Kes., Sp.F., SH., Deputy Dean of the FK, as well as the parents of the new doctors directly on the spot.

In his remarks the Dean Dr. Istiana, M.Kes reported that currently as many as 2054 doctors have graduated from FK ULM. He considered that currently the distribution of doctors and specialists in the regions was still lacking, therefore he invited the government to help reduce this imbalance. He advised specialist doctors and new doctors to always emphasize professionalism, humanity and ethics. “Be prepared to serve and provide the best service for the community sincerely and sincerely in the name of humanity according to the promises that have been made” he concluded

Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc expressed his appreciation to FK ULM for achieving 100 percent pass of the Student Competency Test for the Doctor Profession Program (UKMPPD). This achievement will of course help when carrying out accreditation or re-accreditation of faculties and universities.

The Rector said that ULM is currently accelerating towards a Law College (PTN BH). One of the points in achieving this is the implementation of Tracer Study by alumni. Therefore, he asked that the relationship between alumni and the University and faculties be maintained. The Rector reminded that the doctors who were sworn in and sworn in today have a moral responsibility, namely to maintain a good name and continue to make achievements in society.” This university is shining and big because its alumni are great and carry out community service, “concluded the Rector.
