ULM Collaborates with Tabalong Regency

Banjarmasin, March 26, 2025 – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has established a strategic partnership with the Tabalong Regency Government in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed today. This partnership aims to support the development of education, research, and community empowerment in Tabalong Regency.

This MoU was signed by the Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si and the Regent of Tabalong Regency, Ir. H.M. Noor Rifani, S.H., S.T., M.T in the meeting room of the ULM Rectorate, Banjarmasin. This event was also attended by the Vice Rector , Head of Bureau, Coordinator of Student Affairs & Alumni and Coordinator of Cooperation & Public Relations as well as SKPD from Tabalong Regency. Through this MoU, both parties agreed to increase collaboration in various sectors such as in the fields of Education and Teaching, Research and Development and Community Empowerment.

Tabalong Regent Ir. H. M. Noor Rifani, S.H., S.T., M.T, in his speech said, “This collaboration is a big step for the progress of Tabalong Regency. We hope that with this collaboration, Tabalong Regency can develop more rapidly, especially in terms of education and public welfare. The synergy between the government and the academic world will have a positive impact on the progress of our region”.

A similar thing was also conveyed by the Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University, Prof. Dr. Ahmad, S.E, M.Si. He expressed his gratitude for being able to establish a collaboration that is expected to provide a real contribution to regional development.

“We are very pleased to be able to establish a collaboration with the Tabalong Regency Government. As a higher education institution, we are committed to providing a real contribution to advancing the region through education, research, and community service.” He said.

As a follow-up to the signing of this MoU, both parties will immediately prepare a more detailed implementation plan regarding the programs that will be implemented. It is hoped that this collaboration can improve the quality of education in Tabalong Regency, as well as provide a positive impact on society and regional development. With this MoU, it is hoped that the relationship between the academic world and government will become closer, and create new opportunities in the fields of education, economy, and social affairs in Tabalong Regency.
