Commemorating 58 Years of the Death of the Ampera Hero Hasanuddin Madjedi

Banjarmasin- The Alumni Association of Lambung Mangkurat University (IKA ULM) on Tuesday, February 27 2024 carried out a pilgrimage to commemorate the death of Ampera Hero Hasanuddin Madjedi at the Prince Antasari Grave Complex in the Banjarmasin Muslim Cemetery. The struggle of students and youth to uphold the Three People’s Demands (Tritura) occurred after the 30 September 1965 Movement, and one of the student fighters involved was Hasanuddin Madjedi who was a student at the Faculty of Economics, Lambung Mangkurat University.

Hasanuddin Bin Haji Madjedi was a student at Lambung Mangkurat University who was born on 28 December 1945 in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, and died on 10 February 1966 in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan at the age of 20. Hasanuddin Madjedi died while demonstrating against the Old Order government under President Soekarno. was named a Hero of the People’s Defense Mandate (AMPERA) from Banjarmasin and was buried near the Grave of Prince Antasari.

This pilgrimage was attended by the Vice Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs Dr. Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE., M.Si, Chairman of IKA ULM, HG (P) Rusdi Effendi AR along with other IKA ULM administrators, who were attended by alumni as well as ULM students and student organizations. The commemoration is carried out by making a pilgrimage and also laying flowers at the grave of the Ampera Hero at the Prince Antasari Grave Complex.
