Socialization of 2023 UTBK-SNBT Implementation at Lambung Mangkurat University

Banjarmasin – In order to prepare for the 2023 Test-Based National Selection (SNBT) Computer Based Written Examination (UTBK), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held socialization to the leadership, committee, and supervisors of the SNBT UTBK implementation within ULM. This socialization was held in the 1st floor hall of the Banjarmasin ULM Rectorate Building on Friday (5/5/2023).

ULM is one of the organizing centers for the 2023 UTBK SNBT with a total of 9,836 participants. Based on directions from the National Selection Committee for New Student Admissions (SNPMB), UTBK SNBT will be held in 2 batches, the first batch from May 8 to May 14 2023 and the second batch will be held from May 22 to 28 2023.

ULM Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. dr. Iwan Aflanie, M.Kes., Sp.F., S.H. on this occasion gave directions to the UTBK SNBT committee and supervisors. According to the advice from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), data from UTBK will be sent directly to the server that has been prepared by the central committee in real time. “This certainly requires preparation in terms of infrastructure and applications, but from a number of preparations and trials, our application runs smoothly in implementing the new model,” said the Vice Rector.

In addition, there are several differences in the UTBK elements this year from the implementation of the previous year, the implementation elements are considered not much different so that the committee is expected to be able to carry out their duties properly. However, he urged the committee and supervisors to maintain and pay close attention to the implementation of this year’s UTBK SNBT from a technical to regulatory perspective.

Following are the General Provisions, Materials, Documents required, rules and regulations as well as the 2023 SNBT UTBK implementation schedule

SNBT General Provisions:

• SNBT participants are only allowed to take part in UTBK once.
• UTBK results are only valid for registering for the 2023 SNBT.
• SNBT 2023 is carried out based on the UTBK results and can be supplemented with other criteria in accordance with the provisions set by the Academic PTN, Vocational PTN, or PTKIN concerned.
• SNBT participants must have a permanent SNPMB-BPPP account and be an Indonesian Citizen (WNI) who has a Resident Identification Number (NIK)
• For participants who choose the Arts and Sports study program, they must upload a portfolio.
• Participants with special needs who are blind must upload a Blind Statement Letter.
• Participants pay the UTBK fee as a condition for SNBT registration of IDR 200,000 (two hundred thousand rupiah) *the payment mechanism will be informed later.

UTBK material

• The Scholastic Potential Test (TPS)

The TPS measures cognitive abilities that are considered important for success in formal schools, especially higher education. In TPS what will be tested are General Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Knowledge and Understanding, and Ability to Comprehend Reading and Writing. Quantitative abilities will include Knowledge and Mastery of Basic Mathematics.

• Literacy in Indonesian and English

Measuring the ability to understand, use, evaluate, reflect on various types of texts to solve problems and develop individual capacities as citizens of Indonesia and citizens of the world so that they can contribute productively to society.

• Mathematical Reasoning

Measuring the ability to think using mathematical concepts, procedures, facts, and tools to solve everyday problems in various types of contexts that are relevant to individuals as citizens of Indonesia and citizens of the world.

Documents to Bring at UTBK SNBT 2023

• Examination Participant Identity Card;
• Photocopy of SMA/SMK/MA certificate or equivalent which has been legalized and original diploma or SKL (Certificate of Graduation);
• Certificate of being class XII (completed with the latest color photograph in question with the signature of the Principal along with the School Stamp);
• Identity Card KTP/SIM/Student Card (Original).

2023 UTBK SNBT Rules and Regulations

• UTBK SNBT 2023 participants are prohibited from wearing T-Shirts;
• Participants must wear shoes;
• Participants must come to the exam location no later than 30 minutes before the exam starts. If you are late for any reason from the start of the test, participants will not be allowed to take the exam.
• Participants are not allowed to enter the exam room before there is a sign to enter the exam room.
• Participants are not allowed to bring lists of logarithms, all kinds of calculators, paper, books or other notes, communication devices such as cell phones, watches (watches), cameras, modems, all kinds of electronic devices for recording and so on. Bags, books and notes of any kind are collected at designated places.
• Participants will be examined with a metal detector before entering the exam room.
• Participants will be searched if there is anything suspicious.
• Participants must sit in the designated place according to the participant number and table number, not allowed to occupy other seats.
• Participant put the Examination Participant Identity Card with the photo facing up.
• Participants who lose their Examination Participant Identity Card must immediately report themselves to the Exam Supervisor.
• Participant enters Participant Number and Participant NISN as Participant PIN.

Conduct the UTBK Exam Tutorial in accordance with the time provided so that participants know how to use the application.

• Registration for UTBK-SNBT 23 March – 14 April 2023

UTBK Certificate Download Period 26 June – 31 July 2023

• Student applicants from economically disadvantaged families can apply for tuition assistance for the Indonesia Smart College Card (KIP College) scheme.
• Prospective participants who apply for tuition assistance for the KIP Lecture scheme must first study the KIP Lecture registration procedure.
