Indocement and ULM Establish Collaboration to Improve Education

KOTABARU, In order to increase cooperation in the world of education, PT Indocement Tunggal Prskarsa Tbk Plant Tarjun signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or Memorandum of Understanding with Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) in the Chancellor’s Room of the ULM Directorate Building, Banjarmasin Friday, (12/5/2023) ).

ULM Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ahmad, SE., M.Si expressed his gratitude for the initiation and appreciation for PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (Indocement) Plant Tarjun for entrusting cooperation to ULM. The scope of the memorandum of understanding includes education, research, improvement and development of human resource competencies, training, community service, independent learning-free campus program (MBKM) and business development.

Meanwhile, General Manager of Indocement Plant Tarjun, Agus Fahri Rasad through Plant Manager Teguh Iman Basoeki said that the signing of the MoU was a follow-up to various collaborative activities between Indocement and ULM. According to him, this collaboration program is part of the corporate social responsibility program in the education pillar, as well as the basis for supporting the government in the SDGs program which synergizes with SDG’s sustainable development goals No. 4.

It reads, to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and increase lifelong learning opportunities for all. “This collaboration is a form of Indocement’s support and synergy for the progress of Lambung Mangkurat University in the context of educating, advancing and developing the sons and daughters of the Banua and the Indonesian nation,” he said. It is hoped that the signing of this MoU can inspire other companies in South Kalimantan to carry out similar cooperation with educational institutions.
