Signing of MoU between ULM and YAPPIKA and South Kalimantan Kemenkumham Regional Office

Banjarmasin — Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a number of strategic collaborations with the Foundation for Strengthening Indonesian Community Participation, Initiatives, and Partnerships (YAPPIKA) and the South Kalimantan Kemenkumham Regional Office. This event took place in the Meeting Room on the 3rd Floor of the ULM Rectorate Building, Banjarmasin, Thursday (12/12/2024).
This event included three important agendas, namely the MoU between ULM and YAPPIKA, collaboration between the ULM Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) and YAPPIKA, and collaboration between LPPM ULM and the South Kalimantan Kemenkumham Regional Office.
The signing was carried out by ULM Rector Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., Executive Director of YAPPIKA Fransisca Fitri Kurnia Sari, and Head of the Legal Services and Human Rights Division Ramlan Harun.
The Rector in his speech expressed his gratitude for the implementation of this activity. “Hopefully this MoU signing event will be blessed by Allah SWT. I appreciate and thank all parties who have initiated this collaboration. Hopefully it will provide the greatest benefits for ULM and our partners today, YAPPIKA and the South Kalimantan Ministry of Law and Human Rights,” he said.
The Rector emphasized that this collaboration is a form of strengthening the institution’s position amidst global competition. “In today’s era, partnerships and networks are the keys to winning the competition. This collaboration is also a strategic step to strengthen the institution of ULM and its strategic partners,” he added.
The Rector also explained the achievements and development plans of ULM, including the addition of doctoral study programs in various fields such as Sustainable Engineering, Forestry Science, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Fisheries, Accounting, and Business Administration. “With 17 doctoral study programs at the end of my term, ULM is expected to excel as the best state university in eastern Indonesia,” he said.
In addition, the Rector mentioned the revitalization of educational facilities with modern equipment to support a better teaching and learning process. “Support from YAPPIKA and the Ministry of Law and Human Rights is part of our joint efforts to continue to excel and support regional development through improving human resources,” he said.
The collaboration with YAPPIKA and the South Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights is expected to provide real benefits for strengthening ULM’s institutional capacity and supporting the development of South Kalimantan. With the support of all parties, ULM is optimistic that it can continue to achieve and make significant contributions in the future.
