Banjarmasin \u2013 Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, SE., M.Sc., appointed 5 (five) new professors. The inauguration event was held in the Hall on the 1st floor of the ULM Banjarmasin Rectorate Building on Thursday (14\/9\/2023). The 5 (five) professors who were inaugurated were Prof. Dr. Ir. Agus Mirwan, .T., M.T., Prof. Dr. Rachmat Subagyo, S.T., M.T., Prof. Dr. Ir. Rusdiansyah, S.T., M.T., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Mastiadi Tamjidillah from the Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Drg. Maharani Laillyza Apriasari, Sp.P.M., from the Faculty of Dentistry.<\/p>\n
In his speech, the Rector of ULM said that in the last 9 months ULM had succeeded in getting as many as 40 additional new professors. With this addition, ULM has around 111 professors whose decrees have been issued and are waiting to be confirmed.<\/p>\n
“On this occasion we inaugurated 5 professors. “In the near future there will be a new Professorial Decree that will be issued,” said the Rector.<\/p>\n
ULM’s achievement in adding professors was explained by the Rector as part of the strategic steps taken to improve the quality of implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education at ULM. The Rector believes that with the increasing number of professors that ULM has, in the future it will also improve the quality of research, education and community service at ULM.<\/p>\n
“Better quality will of course encourage ULM’s competitiveness to become an increasingly advanced and developing higher education institution in the Republic of Indonesia,” said Prof. Ahmad.<\/p>\n
The addition of ULM professors can also enable ULM to increase its doctoral study programs. Currently ULM has 8 doctoral programs (S3), with the increase in the number of professors, the Rector of ULM also stated the target of adding at least 4 (four) doctoral programs.<\/p>\n
“This is in order to prepare the human resources needed by our nation and state to move towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said.<\/p>\n
The five professors who were inaugurated by the Rector of ULM on this occasion, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Agus Mirwan, S.T., M.T., with a scientific oration “The Potential of Water Treatment Sludge Waste and Peat Clay as Coagulants and Adsorbents in Industrial Water and Wastewater Treatment”. Prof. Dr. Rachmat Subagyo, S.T., M.T., with a scientific oration “Mechanism of the Super Hydrophobic Properties of Taro Leaves (Colocasia Esculenta) and Their Application in Engineering”. Prof. Dr. Ir. Rusdiansyah, S.T., M.T., with a scientific oration “Characteristics of South Kalimantan Laterite Soil After the Presence of Alternative Additive Materials as Road Embankment Material”. Prof. Dr. Ir. Mastiadi Tamjidillah, S.T., M.T., with a scientific oration “Gear Manufacturing Process in the Paddle Shift Feature of Automatic Cars”. Prof. Dr. Drg. Maharani Laillyza Apriasari, Sp.P.M., with a scientific oration on the Potential of Mauli Banana Stems (Musa acuminata) as Traditional Medicine in South Kalimantan.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
