ULM Increases PKM Team Development to Face PKP2
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a Workshop “Strategies for Facing PKP2 and Coaching for the 2023 PKM Progress Report” on Thursday (31/8/2023) at the Lecture Theater General Building ULM Banjarmasin. This training was attended by ULM students and lecturers whose teams qualified to receive funding for the 2023 Student Creativity Week. Prof. Dr. Ir. Usman Ahmad, M.Agr., professor at the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) who is also one of the national reviewers of the Directorate General of Belmawa’s PKM program.
ULM has actively trained its students to take part in the PKM program every year. This year, 64 proposals from the ULM team passed to obtain funding for the PKM program by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. This shows a rapid increase compared to previous years.
Next, teams that receive funding will go through the PKM Implementation Progress Assessment (PKP2) stage by a team from the Directorate General of Belmawa, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. PKP2 will later be carried out online and each team will be required to upload a Progress Report and complete a logbook. Next, the PKM team will be asked to present the progress of PKM implementation. It is through this stage that the PKM team will be assessed and determine their suitability to qualify as participants in PIMNAS (Student National Science Week).
ULM Vice Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs Dr. Muhammad Rusmin Nuryadin, S.E., M.Sc., in his speech expressed his appreciation to the students and lecturers who had participated and provided dedication in improving ULM’s achievements. He also said that in the future he targets that all faculties within ULM can participate in PKM events and other national competitions. “We are targeting that next year there will be 100 proposals that will receive funding,” he said.
At this event, Dr. Rusmin together with the Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance Dr. Ir. Arief Rahmad Maulana Akbar, M.Si., IPU., also handed over the 2023 PKM Higher Education Matching Funds.
The PKP2 workshop and PKM Progress Report Coaching event was held for 2 (two) consecutive days. Dr. Rusmin hopes that all students who are members of the PKM team can take part in the training until completion so that they will be equipped and ready to face the PKP2 stage later. “Cheer up all my children, this is not an easy thing, but this is also an extraordinary achievement,” he said at the end of his speech.
