Arsyadi, ME, Ketua DPRD Kal-Sel, Rektor ULM Prof. Dr. H. Sutarto Hadi, M.Si.,M.Sc, Robert John Callister dari Newcastle University, Direktur Eksekutif Konsorsium perguruan tinggi negeri kawasan timur Indonesia Dr. Andi Ilham Makhmud, para Rektor dan Wakil Rektor Indonesia kawasan timur, Wakil Rektor, Dekan, Direktur International office ULM. Adapun sebagai ketua KPTN-KTI kali ini yaitu Prof. Dr. Masjaya, M.Si\u00a0 Rektor Universitas Mulawarman Samarinda.<a href=\"http:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/3ab.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5896\"><img class=\"alignright wp-image-5896 \" src=\"http:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/3ab-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"3ab\" width=\"280\" height=\"158\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/3ab-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/3ab-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/3ab-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/3ab.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 280px) 100vw, 280px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kegiatan ini merupakan langkah dalam rangka pengembangan perguruan tinggi negeri kawasan\u00a0 bagian timur Indonesia, dimana wilayah Indonesia bagian timur masih tertinggal dengan perguruan tinggi negeri kawasan Indonesia bagian barat seperti universitas yang ada di Jawa. Dari wilayah Indonesia timur baru Universitas Hasanudin yang terakreditasi A, untuk itu PTN wilayah Indonesia timur meningkatkan kualitas universitasnya, salah satunya dengan bekerjasama dengan Newcastle University terutama dibidang sumber daya manusia. Salah satu manfaat dari kerjasama ini adalah akses yang lebih mudah untuk universitas mengirim dosennya ke luar negeri terutama ke Australia,\u00a0 selain itu dengan studi ke luar negeri para dosen dapat meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa inggrisnya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/5ab.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5897\"><img class=\"alignleft wp-image-5897 \" src=\"http:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/5ab-300x189.jpg\" alt=\"5ab\" width=\"258\" height=\"163\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/5ab-300x189.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/5ab-768x485.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/5ab-1024x646.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/5ab.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 258px) 100vw, 258px\" \/><\/a>Dalam sambutannya Rektor Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) mengucapkan terimakasih kepada Direktur Eksekutif konsorsium perguruan tinggi negeri kawasan timur yang memberikan kesempatan kepada ULM untuk menjadi tuan rumah dalam menyelenggarakan kegiatan ini. Dan beliau mengucapkan selamat datang di Banjarmasin kepada\u00a0 para Rektor kawasan Indonesia bagian timur. Beliau berharap PTN wilayah timur ini akan lebih maju dan memberi kontribusi dalam pembangunan daerah.
