Banjarmasin \u2013 Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held the university-level National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad (ON MIPA) Selection at the ULM Banjarmasin General Building on Thursday (February 26, 2026). This event serves as a platform to select the best students to represent ULM in ON MIPA at the regional and national levels.<\/p>\n
The selection was officially opened by ULM’s Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Muhammad Rusmin Nuryadin, S.E., M.Si. A total of 252 ULM students will compete in this year’s selection.<\/p>\n
He also emphasized the importance of encouraging students to continue working and achieving. He believes this year’s ON MIPA will bring pride to the university. Therefore, he hopes all participants will take the selection seriously and hopes for more targeted coaching.<\/p>\n
“I encourage students to continue their work. Hopefully, this year’s ON MIPA will bring pride to the university. This activity must be taken seriously, and intensive coaching is necessary afterward,” he added.<\/p>\n
He further emphasized that obstacles encountered during the previous year’s implementation, particularly during the online-based test, must be evaluated. He believes that various technical obstacles need to be minimized from the coaching stage so that the next selection process can run more optimally.<\/p>\n
In this selection, the top five participants will be selected from each field. These five students will then receive special coaching to prepare for the regional ON MIPA. If they pass the regional level, they will represent ULM at the national ON MIPA.<\/p>\n
