Banjarbaru \u2013 The Biology Master’s Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), conducted a Field Assessment (AL) for its Study Program Accreditation on Thursday, January 21, 2026. The activity took place in the Einstein Hall of FMIPA ULM and lasted for four days, from January 21 to 24, 2026.<\/p>\n
The field assessment was attended by the Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University, Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si., accompanied by the leadership team, including the Dean and Vice Deans of FMIPA, the Quality Assurance Institute Team, and the Head of the ULM Quality Assurance and Learning Development Institute (LPMPP), Prof. Dr. Agung Nugroho, S.TP, M.Sc, Ph.D., and academics from both the Biology Master’s Program and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA).<\/p>\n
Prof. Anom Bowolaksono, Ph.D., Professor of Integrative Cellular and Molecular Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), University of Indonesia (UI), and Prof. Erly Marwani, MS, a lecturer at the School of Life Sciences and Technology, Bandung Institute of Technology, conducted an assessment and verification of documents and the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi) within the Biology Master’s Program, FMIPA, ULM.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, the Rector expressed his full appreciation for the successful implementation of this field assessment. He emphasized ULM’s strong commitment to continuously improving quality assurance through quality assurance units in each faculty and at the university level, namely the Quality Assurance Institute (LPMPP). This is a concrete follow-up to efforts to improve quality across all study programs at ULM. “Our colleagues in quality assurance periodically conduct quality evaluations and audits of all study programs at ULM.”<\/p>\n
Prof. Anom, as assessor, also expressed his deep appreciation for the commitment of the university leadership, particularly the presence of the ULM Rector despite his busy schedule. He explained that this field assessment aims to capture and align various aspects of the study program presented in previous documents. “In addition to cross-checking, we also hope to gain direct insight from you regarding the best practices that have been implemented,” he said.<\/p>\n
Echoing this sentiment, Prof. Erly emphasized that the implementation of this field assessment demonstrates the Biology Master’s Program’s readiness to conduct self-evaluation, continuous quality improvement, and strengthen its competitiveness. Therefore, he hopes all parties will work together effectively. “Therefore, we ask for the cooperation of all parties so that this assessment process can run smoothly,” he said.<\/p>\n
This activity is expected to produce the best achievements for the Master of Biology Study Program, FMIPA ULM, and become a strategic momentum to improve the quality of education and encourage the competitiveness of the study program in a sustainable manner both at the national and international levels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
