<\/p>\r\n

Banjarmasin \u2014 Efforts to prepare students at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) to face the post-campus world are not only carried out through academic reinforcement, but also through the development of interests, talents, and non-academic skills. This is reflected in the soft skills development program titled “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People,” attended by students under the Amanah Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN).<\/p>\r\n

A total of 123 students receiving the Indonesia Bright Future Leaders (IBFL) Scholarship from ULM and Palangkaraya University (UPR) participated in the program, held on Tuesday (January 6, 2026) at the Faculty of Economics and Business at ULM Banjarmasin. This program is part of YABN’s non-academic development program, which aims to equip students with life skills, character, and self-leadership before completing their studies.<\/p>\r\n

The Chairperson of the Amanah Bangun Negeri Foundation, Zuraida Murdia Hamdie, emphasized that the scholarship program focuses not only on financial support such as the Single Tuition Fee (UKT), living expenses, and accommodation. According to her, soft skills and character development are crucial foundations for students to adapt and compete after graduation.<\/p>\r\n

“This scholarship doesn’t just provide financial assistance, but also provides students with soft skills preparation before they graduate,” Zuraida said on Wednesday (January 7, 2026).<\/p>\r\n

Through a collaboration with Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) and training partner Dunamis, the Seven Habits concept was chosen to help students build self-awareness, personal leadership, and the ability to work effectively with others. This training is designed in a tiered and continuous manner, starting with Seven Habits, continuing with Find Your Voice, and ending with Career Readiness.<\/p>\r\n

For ULM students, this program provides an important learning space to hone non-technical skills often not directly acquired in college. Muhammad Nasir, a student at the Faculty of Economics and Business at ULM, feels this way. He believes this training is not just an additional activity, but rather a foundation for developing leadership mindsets and character from an early age.<\/p>\r\n

“After participating in Seven Habits, my goal is to develop into a better person and become a good leader in the future,” he said.<\/p>\r\n

Through this mentoring program, ULM students are not only encouraged to excel academically but also prepared to become graduates with strong character, positive habits, and leadership skills.
