With the theme &#8220;Multi-Party Collaboration as a Manifestation of Food Security in the Fisheries Sector,&#8221; the meeting was attended by 219 participants from 51 fisheries and marine universities across Indonesia, both in person and online via Zoom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event was attended by ULM Rector Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, SE., M.Sc.; South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Rosyanto Yudha Hermawan; and the Chairperson of FP2TPK Indonesia Prof. Dr. Ir. Fredinan Yulianda, MSc, as well as deans and representatives of member universities of the FP2TPK from various regions in Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In his remarks, ULM Rector Prof. Ahmad emphasized the importance of the FP2TPK forum as a strategic space to discuss the direction of national development, particularly in strengthening food security based on fisheries and marine resources.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Indonesia has extraordinary potential in the fisheries and marine sector, but it has not been optimally developed. Meetings like this are expected to generate new ideas and concepts that strengthen national food security,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prof. Ahmad also emphasized that universities should not stop at the theoretical level, but must play an active role as drivers of the community&#8217;s economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;We must not be left behind by the South Kalimantan Police Chief, who has developed 20 biofloc ponds at the Nurul Hijrah Islamic boarding school. This is proof that cross-sector collaboration can strengthen food security,&#8221; he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Rosyanto Yudha Hermawan delivered a presentation on strategies for building national food security. He emphasized the importance of synergy between academics, officials, and the community to ensure the national food system is independent, resilient, and sustainable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In terms of implementation, the Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) ULM, Dr. Ir. H. Untung Bijaksana, MP, as the person in charge of the event, explained that this FP2TPK meeting was a continuation of a series of activities that began three months earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;We also held a poster competition for research and community service, attended by hundreds of participants from across Indonesia. Students played a major role in organizing the event, and we also involved local MSMEs in participating,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, the Chair of FP2TPK Indonesia, Prof. Fredinan Yulianda, assessed that this forum was a strategic opportunity to strengthen synergy between fisheries and marine sciences universities in Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Indonesia is known as a maritime nation, but the fisheries sector&#8217;s contribution to national income still falls short of its potential. Through this forum, we want to strengthen the education, research, and community service system, integrating it with industry needs,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prof. Fredinan added that FP2TPK will continue to serve as a communication bridge between universities in developing collaborative research and innovation based on marine resources.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;We hope that the results of this forum will not stop at discussion, but can be translated into concrete programs that benefit the community,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through this national meeting, Lambung Mangkurat University affirms its commitment as a host that actively builds cross-institutional academic, research, and innovation networks.
