Banjarbaru \u2014 Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) successfully concluded the 2025 National Student Qur’an Recitation Competition (MTQMN) with solemnity and a spirit of togetherness. The Closing Ceremony, held at the ULM Banjarbaru Auditorium on Thursday evening (October 9, 2025), marked the end of the national event, which brought together 1,506 participants from 194 universities across Indonesia.<\/p>\n

The closing ceremony began with a recitation of the Qur’an led by Prof. Dr. K.H. Said Agil Husin Al-Munawar, M.A., as the panel of judges, as an expression of gratitude for the four days of energetic and meaningful activities.<\/p>\n

In his report on the event, ULM’s Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Muhammad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE, MSi, expressed his gratitude for ULM’s success in hosting the 2025 MTQMN.<\/p>\n

“Alhamdulillah, we have completed a valuable four-day journey. This MTQMN is not only a competition to find a champion, but also an opportunity to strengthen ties and disseminate Quranic values \u200b\u200bamong universities in Indonesia,” he said.<\/p>\n

He also expressed his appreciation to the committee and all parties who have worked hard for months, as well as the full support of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government and the 56 corporate partners who participated in making the event a success.<\/p>\n

“We dedicate this event to all guests and delegates. We apologize for any shortcomings during the event, including limited transportation facilities. All of this serves as a basis for reflection so that the next MTQMN will be even better,” he added.<\/p>\n

In addition to the 15 competitions, the 18th MTQMN ULM also featured a Tabligh Akbar (Grand Tabligh), a Student Leadership Forum (Forpimawa) workshop, a PAI Lecturers Association forum, a pilgrimage (ziarah) and other socio-religious activities. The workshop resulted in several recommendations for improvement that will be submitted directly to the Directorate of Belmawa Dikti.<\/p>\n

In his farewell remarks, the Rector of ULM, Prof. Dr. Ahmad, S.E., M.Sc., expressed his pride in the dedication of the entire committee and his appreciation to the participants who enlivened the event with great sportsmanship and a spirit of Islamic propagation.<\/p>\n

“On behalf of Lambung Mangkurat University, I would like to thank all those who contributed to the success of the XVIII 2025 MTQMN. May this activity serve as a means to ground the Quran in the university environment and make it a guide for the younger generation,” said the Rector.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that the Quran is not only a guide for worship, but also a philosophical foundation for building a nation with noble morals.<\/p>\n

“Through the MTQMN, we want to produce a Quranic generation who will become leaders with integrity, leading Indonesia towards a civilized, prosperous, and just future,” he added.<\/p>\n

The Rector also invited all participants to return to their respective regions with fond memories of South Kalimantan.<\/p>\n

“Even if there are shortcomings, let them be lessons for us. May the blessings of this MTQMN be with Banua and all participants,” he said, filled with emotion.<\/p>\n

The Regional Secretary of South Kalimantan Province, Muhammad Syarifuddin, who also attended the closing ceremony on behalf of the Governor, expressed his high appreciation to ULM for hosting a safe, smooth, and memorable event.<\/p>\n

“South Kalimantan, known for its religious character, is certainly proud of the success of this event. This success is the result of the synergy between the committee, the government, and the community. May the spirit of loving and practicing the Quran continue to grow in the hearts of the younger generation,” he said.<\/p>\n

The Director of Belmawa, Dr. Berry Juliandi, S.Si., M.Si., also expressed his appreciation to ULM for its excellent preparation and implementation from beginning to end, as illustrated in the video documentation of the event.<\/p>\n

Through the successful implementation of the MTQMN XVIII 2025, Lambung Mangkurat University affirms its commitment to continue playing an active role in integrating Quranic values \u200b\u200binto academic and social life.<\/p>\n

This activity serves not only as a competition, but also as a means to shape the character of students with noble morals, strengthen inter-university bonds, and make a real contribution to the nation’s spiritual and moral progress.<\/p>\n

“May the light of the Quran radiated from Banua South Kalimantan inspire all campus personnel in Indonesia to continue to act, acquire knowledge, and uphold morals for the sake of a Golden Indonesia 2045,” concluded the ULM Rector.<\/p>\n
