Banjarbaru \u2013 The opening ceremony of the 2025 MTQMN (National Quran Recitation Competition) was held at the Auditorium of ULM Banjarbaru on Monday afternoon (October 6, 2025), officially marking the start of the National Student Quran Recitation Competition. The event was attended by the Director General of Higher Education, Science and Technology, the Director of Student Affairs, regional leaders, and university rectors from various regions.<\/p>\n

The event opened with a parade, where representatives of the participants took turns on stage carrying the flags of their respective universities.<\/p>\n

This year, 1,500 students from 194 universities across Indonesia competed in 15 competitions, including Quran recitation, Quran recitation (Tartil Quran), Quran memorization (10, 20, and 30 Juz), Qiraat Sab’ah, Decorative and Contemporary Quranic Calligraphy (Khathil Quran), Quranic Fahmil (Fahmil Quran), Quranic Syarhil (Syarhil Quran), Scientific Writing on the Quran’s Contents, Scientific Debate on the Quran’s Contents (Arabic and English), Quranic Computer Application Design, and Recitation of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday.<\/p>\n

In addition to various competitions, the 2025 MTQMN (National Recitation and Quraish Recitation) at Lambung Mangkurat University also has a series of other activities taking place from October 6th to 9th, including:<\/p>\n

  1. Tabligh Akbar (Grand Recitation) with Ustad Das’ad Latif on Monday (October 6th, 2025) at 8:00 PM WITA (Central Indonesian Time) at the ULM Banjarmasin Open Space;<\/li>\n
  2. A seminar for the University Student Leadership of the XVIII MTQMN 2025 with the theme “Collaboration between Universities to Strengthen the National Student MTQ” on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. At this event, ULM will showcase Kalimantan regional arts, namely the Radap Rahayu Dance and a Madihin Performance by Ahmad Sya’rani, M.Ag.;<\/li>\n
  3. A National Seminar with the theme “Quran Generation, the Golden Generation: Inspiring Gen Z Towards Indonesia 2045” featuring three speakers: Prof. Dr. H. Mujiburrahman, MA, Prof. Dr. K.H. Said Agil Husin Al Munawar MA, and Dr. Drs. Zainuddin, M.Pd. This event will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Swiss-Bel Hotel Banjarmasin.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The closing ceremony of the XVIII MTQMN 2025 will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the ULM Banjarbaru Auditorium.
