Banjarmasin \u2013 Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has once again achieved a proud national achievement through one of its top students, Nabila Regita Putri Mustafa, who successfully qualified as a finalist in the 2025 National Student Outstanding Selection (pilmapres) for the Undergraduate Program. Nabila will represent ULM and compete in the final round, which will be held at Diponegoro University, Semarang, on October 25-29, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nabila Regita Putri Mustafa, a Psychology student from the class of 2022, successfully advanced to the final round as one of 15 finalists in the undergraduate program category. She distinguished herself with her innovative proposal, GUARD (Governing, Users, Against, Risks, Digital Platforms). This initiative focuses on efforts to combat the threat of online sexual exploitation and abuse of children, particularly on social media platforms like Facebook.<\/span><\/p>\n

In her informative speech, Nabila expressed concern about the rise of critical issues regarding child safety online, particularly on Facebook. She stated that there are three main issues threatening children’s safety online.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The first is anonymity on social media, the second is the lack of laws regarding online sexual harassment, and the third is cultural silence and taboos,” Nabila said in her speech.<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, Nabila proposed GUARD, a creative solution to protect users from risks on digital platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n

“First, by creating a national register of perpetrators of digital sexual harassment. Second, by using AI to monitor and report content. Third, by implementing a national education program that provides training on digital safety and abuse awareness for parents, teachers, police, health workers, and others,” she said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, in her closing speech, she stated that Indonesia must act quickly, starting now, to protect children from online sexual harassment and disturbing content such as fantasy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2025 Presidential Election (Pilmapres) carries the theme “Impact Campus: Creating Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Indonesia.” This prestigious event is held annually by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology with the aim of providing a platform and developing a generation of outstanding learners with high integrity and creativity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nabila’s participation as a finalist in the 2025 Pilmapres undergraduate program certainly adds to the long list of achievements achieved by ULM students.
