Banjarmasin \u2013 Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) once again demonstrated its commitment to promoting academic innovation and intellectual property protection by holding a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for Industrial Design Registration in collaboration with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI). The event took place at the ULM General Building, Banjarmasin, on Wednesday (August 6, 2025).<\/p>\n
Acting Director of Copyright and Industrial Design at DJKI, Syahdi Hadiyanto, officially opened the event. Also in attendance were Prof. Sunardi, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., Head of the ULM Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), and Meidy Firmansyah, Head of the Legal Services Division of the South Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, who represented the Head of the Regional Office, Alex Cosmas Pinem.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, Meidy expressed the South Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights’ full support for the synergy between the government and universities.<\/p>\n
“Industrial design reflects the character and uniqueness of a product. Through this activity, we hope the academic community will increasingly understand the importance of protecting design works for competitiveness,” he said.<\/p>\n
The activity, attended by lecturers, students, and the general public, aimed to strengthen technical understanding of industrial design application procedures in accordance with laws and regulations. Participants received material from Krissantyo Adinda, an Associate Expert Industrial Design Examiner, followed by a technical consultation session and practical mentoring.<\/p>\n
Through this technical guidance, ULM hopes to generate more original design innovations from South Kalimantan that can compete not only nationally but also globally.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
