The Pilkom Satu <\/i><\/em>team, consisting of Muhammad Yulian, Wahid Irhamna, and Salman Anshari, succeeded in winning 2nd place in the National Innovation-Based Learning Media Competition. They created interactive learning media for web-based Algebra class VII material that applies the REACT strategy and is integrated with video conferencing and chat.<\/p>\n

This learning media is the result of Muhammad Yulian’s final assignment. The development process started 4-5 months ago, which involved collecting data through literature reviews and interviews with mathematics teachers, designing modules that became content in the learning media, and developing the media according to the designs created. One of the biggest challenges in the process of creating learning media is making this media usable for students to work in groups, in accordance with one of the points of the REACT strategy, namely cooperating.<\/p>\n

The Pilkom Satu <\/i><\/em>team comes from the computer education study program. They utilize their knowledge of web programming and pedagogical principles in creating this learning media. This media is unique because it is integrated with video conferencing and chat, supporting students’ need to work in groups. The material presented also includes a wetland context to help students understand algebra.<\/p>\n

In the process of creating this learning media, Muhammad Yulian acted as a learning media developer, Wahid Irhamna made a video documentation, and Salman Anshari made a guidebook for using the media. They often have discussions with their supervisors, both during the development of learning media and in preparation for competitions.<\/p>\n

It is hoped that this learning media can become a reference for other students in creating more innovative and better learning media. For education, this media can be an alternative for learning algebra, especially if learning is done remotely.<\/p>\n

The Pilkom Satu <\/i><\/em>team plans to develop this learning media further. One of the shortcomings that they will fix is in correcting students’ answers, where answers to fill-in questions must exactly match the answer key determined by the media maker, while answers to fill-in questions can take various forms. They plan to find a solution to this problem using available technologies.<\/p>\n

Winning 2nd place in the National Innovation-Based Learning Media Competition certainly makes the Pilkom One Team very happy and proud. They hope that this achievement will be a motivation for them and their other friends to be even better in the future and succeed in winning 1st place in future competitions.<\/p>\n

The Pilkom Satu <\/i><\/em>team advised other students who want to participate in similar competitions in the future to always give their best in each competition, pay attention to the assessment points set, and make thorough preparations.
